NiceFont 37.2 -- A nice cli based fontviewer
Copyright © 1994 by Morten B. Pedersen
1) DISTRIBUTION
NiceFont is freely redistributable as long as the content
of this archive is not modified, and you don't earn money
from it.
The archive MUST have the following contents:
Name Size Description
---------------------------------------
NiceFont 8324 - The executable.
NiceFont.Doc 1885 - This file!
2) DISCLAIMER
The program is bug tested, however I am in no way responsible
for your use of this program. In other words: Use at your own
risk.
3) DESCRIPTION
This program opens a window and writes the font name and text
specified by th ENV:NICEFONT file in the requested size.
If no size is given i opens the largest. For CGFonts it opens
a size 20. Fonts without a valid .font file can not be
displayed. Use FixFonts.
4) USAGE
NiceFont [FONTNAME] <SIZE>
FONTNAME: Can be: topaz, or
topaz.font or
ram:Topaz or
ram:Topaz.font etc.
If NiceFont is not able of finding a font
in the CurrentDir, it looks in FONTS:
Fonts without a valid .font file can not
be displayed. Use FixFonts!
SIZE: This one is optional. In nothing specified
NiceFont opens the largest available, or if
you chose a CGFont, size 20.
NOTE: The size you give, may not be supported
But the diskfont.library will then scale
the font to that size.
Another possibility is to use an argument like
this: fonts:sapphire/9, which could be very
usefull when used with ie. SID or DOPUS.
5) ENV(ARC): File
You can create a file in your ENV: and ENVARC: dir, and the
contents will be written in the window. If no file exists
the programs writes 1-9, A-Z, "#¤& etc.
6) BUGS: NONE! (so far!)
